Yass.  I put down over 40 pavement miles this week, I'm ready for some dirt.

I kinda want to ride some Uintas.

I doubt I'll ever be normal tongue

I told the ortho a few weeks ago that I wanted to start riding pavement soon and he said "OK", but mentioned the any kind of impact would re-break whatever new bone was growing, so don't fall.

We are taking my in-laws to Yellowstone Aug. 28 - Sept 1 and I don't want to screw that up, so I won't risk a fall until after they leave on Sun. Sept 3.  I have an apt. with the ortho on Sept. 5 so maybe I'll get a green light then.

I think the trick with Eric is going to be putting him behind me so he can't try and keep up with you.

Would be a much softer impact to run into you than into the dirt and rocks

At your age, Eric, everything should be soft.

That was a good ride yesterday. That climb kicks my ass just right.

Eric, we made sure to pay our respects on Collarbone Hill. If we'd had a beer we would have stopped and watered your sagebrush with it, but we didn't so we just yelled HI ERIC as we rolled by. Good times.

I'm liking this for October/November... https://caltopo.com/m/SAKL. That's a long day in the saddle, but imagine how good the nachos would taste that night.

Somewhere mellow, Eric says he's back in the saddle but he probably doesn't want to fall off again quite yet.

Corner Canyon? Round Valley? Somewhere local anyway. What trails do you have up there, Brady?

No idea. Do you have a good online resource for MTB trails?

I like trailforks  https://www.trailforks.com/
It has a phone app as well.

My biggest issue will be my fitness level.  I've been sitting on my butt for the last 9 weeks

Never wanted to fall off in the first place.

Today the doc said it's healing well. Biking is ok, but avoid impacts for the next two months while the new bone tissue achieves full strength.

The little loop out in Herriman is pretty mellow and smooth, mostly flat with a few climbs

Ride the lifts at Snowbasin? I've heard the trails up there are very XCish with not much tech.

Or, High Star Ranch would get us above the smoke too? The climbing doesn't look brutal, and I keep hearing good things about the flow trails.
