Owyhee Uplands Backcountry Byway
I'd like to make this trek. It starts in Jordan Valley, Or and runs 100 miles through southwestern Idaho. The byway finishes outside of Mountain Home. Start point is about 80 miles from my house and finish point is about 60-70 miles SE of Boise.
Don't have any dates picked out. I think it could be done in 2 days/1 night, but taking 3 days/2 nights would allow for more exploring. Anyone down?

Ok wait, ghost towns? Hot springs? I'm REALLY in.
When? Should we do this the September 8th weekend instead of ride? Or both? Could bring the bikes and spend a day at Sun Valley or Magic Mountain when we're done...

If we did it over the 9/7-9 weekend, when would you be able to leave and head this way?

Re: Owyhee Uplands Backcountry Byway
If I leave the boy home I could be on the road Thursday morning. That'd give us Thursday night and Friday night on the trail, then up to Sun Valley and ride Friday afternoon and Saturday morning and me home in plenty of time to reset my schedule before I go back to work.
Or we could skip the riding and make it a family thing, but I wouldn't be able to leave until Friday afternoon and would have to leave Sunday early afternoon.

I like the first plan, but it might be fun to take Kes along.
Can Ian miss school Friday and you guys leave Friday morning? If not, let's do the 2 days on the trail and riding somewhere the remainder.

Ian could miss school, but I just found out that's Eli's first soccer game and Nicole doesn't want him to miss it. So it'll be just me.
