Re: Official MTB Thread
So there's a little dirt road right off the Pony Express Pkwy at the start of Nirvana, right about 40.351469, -112.002425. Let's meet there and if we want to ride something else we can just pedal a little farther.
Re: Official MTB Thread
Good ride today. My legs are telling me all about it already so that was just right.
Josh, this is the mount I'm using: www.amazon.com/Motorcycle-Universal-Adjustable-Smartphone-Handlebar/dp/B06Y38MF3K

if anyone is interested.
I plan to park at the Marina then ride out and back.
Also interesting for a shuttle ride is Willow Creek

Was just talking about this today. I wanna do it again, but lets wait until somebody has been through there with a chainsaw first.

I got home and planted and mulched another shrub, got the pork butt on the smoker, painted the part of the fence exposed by moving the shed, and mowed the lawn. Oh, and Ashton brought his new bike over for a tune up. It's 0 beer thirty now.

Oh yeah? Well I got home and folded some laundry and played Call of Duty, so there.

I was thinking...would it be possible to bike pack to the end of Strawberry Narrows, camp, and then ride back the next day? Too much?

Re: Official MTB Thread
That would probably be a really good singletrack to shake out the bugs actually. They say that the western end of the trail can get a little overgrown and swampy once you get out of the woods but we don't have to go all the way to Renegade. There's a couple climbs that might be too stiff to ride loaded down with gear, but I don't mind a little hike a bike.
I really like this idea.

Re: Official MTB Thread
From reading the article, it sounds like the cat pounced on instinct, figured out they weren't prey and pulled off, and then attacked again when dude man ran. If he had stayed to fight, they'd be both be alive. Moral of the story, don't ride with pansies.
Any of you gets ambushed by a mountain lion, I will totally f*** that cat up for you.

Right? I normally carry when I venture into the woods, but on a bike, I don't...that's going to change!

Won't do you much good in a backpack. I bet we could get some kydex and make a pretty fancy top tube holster though.
Re: Official MTB Thread
I'm going to ride Corner Canyon this Wednesday morning, start at the Equestrian Center and ride up Potato, then maybe Anne's to Rush if I've got legs left? Anybody wants to skip their day job is welcome to join me. And I guess Josh can come too if he wants.

How late do you think you'll be riding?

Re: Official MTB Thread
If I ride all the way up to the top of Anne's before turning around, it'll be nine miles and about twice the vertical we rode yesterday. But we could turn around at about any point at be back at the bottom in 20-30 minutes.

How's your Saturday/Sunday mornings looking? I'm off Saturday morning and don't go back to work until Tuesday the 5th and I've got nothing on my plate. I wanna ride a lot.
