Re: 2015 3rd Quarter Run
Okay, nobody coming in on Friday is hitting town before noon or so, right? So let's save Sand Flats for Saturday or Sunday because that seems like the area most of us want to hit. Brady and I and maybe Josh will find something else to do Friday morning, and then let's set a 1300 rendezvous at City Market? Folks coming in before 1300 can meet us there for an afternoon trail, folks coming in after that can meet us at camp that night. We'll be sure to drop GPS coords when we hit cell service Friday morning so every knows where to find us. It'll almost certainly be out at Prostitute Butte though.
If we're planning on hitting town for dinner on any night, may I suggest the Blu Pig? The food is 10x better than Moab Brewery and they don't charge an automatic gratuity.

I'm game for the Blu Pig, but I still want to hit up the Brewery, if only for the Chili Verde burrito.

Sweet, I should be getting my runner back tonight with a new catalytic converter in it. I will wait for you guys to post some GPS coords before heading out Friday after work. It sounds like I will be the last one to arrive. When are people planning on heading back home? Sunday afternoon? If so, anyone wanna do some fly fishing on the price river / lower fish creek on the way back?
Re: 2015 3rd Quarter Run
I was planning on heading back late morning/early afternoon on Sunday. I'm not much of a fisherman, but I like exploring.

I was planning on heading out in the afternoon and wouldn't mind hitting some fishing spots on the way home. I'm not superb by any means but I enjoy throwing a fly upstream. Any idea what fish are biting down there? I haven't fished south of currant creek this year

I haven't fished North of the Weber this year But I have wanted to fish currant creek for a while. I fished the Middle Provo for a few hours on Saturday and they were hitting a caddis on top and dark bead headed hare's ear underneath. I have fished Diamond Fork and the Price River a bunch in the past. Bring your pole and we can hit something on the road back north.
Re: 2015 3rd Quarter Run
A few weeks ago I was having good luck at currant creek with hoppers and Mosquitos. I'll bring my fly stuff and let you show me all the tricks since I still need lots of learning and practice.

I don't have a fly pole but I'd been wanting to learn. I'll come hang with you all.

We didn't go all the way out to PB, we're on the same road but closer in, on the right nested against a bluff, 38.419774 -109.451331. I have cell service so holler if you can't find us.
Re: 2015 3rd Quarter Run
Well the 4runner is a bit unstable right now and the wife doesn't want me driving down tonight alone. I am not going to be making it this weekend.
you guys have a blast and take some killer photos.

New camp site, we found a better one. Just over a mile in Behind The Rocks road, two spots up the hill on your right. If you get as far as the previous coords posted you went too far.

Come drive down with me today. I'll be leaving Layton shortly and can caravan. That or come down to the river on Sunday at a minimum
