The exception to this is whenever any one spots Tyson.
I tried to get him to flop on Friday, he wouldn't go for it.

I know, right? All the times you've blown us off, you'd think we'd show a little gratitude.

It's a weird editor. That's what we get for rocking a free board .
The far left button on the toolbar above the post window switches your editor mode. I go back and forth, because the graphic editor mode is visible but likes to gum up the formatting.

Thanks, dude!
I posted on the t4r forum but saying it here too..
Can't get there until Friday, my bf can only take Friday and Monday off, so getting there friday afternoon or evening (if you guys are planning to run a long trail or something Friday then we will be there at the campground in the evening when you guys get back), plan to wheel Saturday and Sunday, leave early monday.
Oh, that reminds me.. when the date gets closer, could somebody post directions to the campground? LoL

I'm going with every intention to roll Fred. I know the stuff I'm building Fred with and as long as my finder flares don't brake I'm good.

My plan is to arrive Wednesday night, and wheel Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. I'll head home Sunday night. I'm sure we'll have people coming and going during those days. We haven't decided where we'll setup base camp, but when we do, we'll make sure everyone is aware of the details.

You don't have to roll it to impress us. Although, if you do, we will take lots of pictures and video...and talk about how cool it was. Oh yeah, then we'll help you get her back on her shoes again...

I'm not trying to make an impression. Lol I have found if you intende to roll then you wont roll. Just like breaking some thing that way you are prepared for it if it should happen. Bad things happen when you are least expecting them. Isn't that right kevin????? Lol.

I was going to go down Thursday morning when I get off work, but I could be convinced to take off a day early and come down Wednesday night. We've been talking about staying in the group site at Moab Rim, but I'm waiting to hear back from a couple guys from T4R.org before I make reservations. It's no big thing if they're full, we can always find somewhere else, and we can head out to the bush and camp primitive if we have to.
That brings up a point though - on the off chance that we have to camp primitive, everybody should make plans for a way to pack out your, um, "used" food... I have a Luggable Loo anyone is free to borrow, but I don't have any privacy for it and you'll need to bring your own wag bags if you're planning on borrowing it.

Guess that makes you a knob since you flopped on a muddy road lol just kidding kevin!!! I have rolled several trucks and wheel extremely hard, I have also gotten a 2wd ranger places most would cringe at in a 4wd truck.

One of the for-sure T4R.orgians just IM'd to say he's dropping out. I haven't heard back from the other one yet. I guess this really is DesertRunners (and WolfGirl) Go To Moab.

Well...if it's just us...can we go sooner? Like mid-to-end of March? Maybe Ty could join us then? I really want to go....now...

How much more work do you have left on the swap?

You're in. We'll start in two days.

I jacked up the valve job, so I have to redo the exhaust side - I'm working on that right now, actually. Then I can put the valve cover back on and the motor will be ready. I still need to reroute fuel and evap lines, modify the motor mounts, and pick up a couple bits I haven't collected yet (starter, MAF, PS pump). Then I can drop the motor in, and the two big hurdles after that will be splicing and routing the harness and getting the new exhaust built.
At some point during all that I'd like to get my crossmember stiffener welded on and wiring for the winch hooked up, and if I have any budget left to go get that elocker in Grand Junction and install it in the front axle.
Piece of cake, right?
Re: Classics go to Moab III
I thought we decided the fuel lines were going through the exhaust. I bet the wiring will be the most difficult. Did the engine come with an ECU?

Re: Classics go to Moab III
I have an ECU. It's for a '97, which was the first year of the coil packs - I have a distributor. Mike thinks we can make it work, but I might have to get a new one.

I don't want to de-rail the thread, but I just did a little research and what I found is that the distributor engines have a different head than the coil pack engines. People have asked if they could just replace a distributor engine with a coil pack one, but nobody seems to know the answer.

Well THAT sucks. Do you mind me attending? In all honesty, I wouldn't mind going on one trail with ya, saturday April 26th. My bf and I could do the scenic trails instead on the rest of the days. Plus.. lessens the chance of breakage..
So I'm good with whatever.
