Hoping so. I havent even got this thing in any dirt yet. I need to get some new rubber. right now I'm looking at KM2, Dynapro MT's or Destination MT's. I'm also hoping to drop in to a CL find, but no luck there yet. Getting the CB mounted up and the radio put in this week. Next week I'll service the axles and install the spool.

OK, Google doc updated again. For Sunday, I have 2 options since we'll have people staying all day and some that need to leave early. So, I will lead a group of rigs through Poison Spider Mesa. We'll go past the Golden Spike turnoff and then run the loop and come back out the way we came. We'll do the loop counter-clockwise, which I think is the better way...with easier route finding. So, Ty, if you can join us, we will plan to start the trail at 6am...that means like a 5:30am wakeup call...Very Happy. We should be done by noon so that you can boogie home.

If others don't want to join us, they can go play in the Sands Flat Recreation Area (Hells, Fins) for the day...or really anywhere else they want to...

How does that sound?

I look forward to seeing that sammy in action! LoL once I had one pull out my old DD (suburban 2500) 'cause I got stuck in the mud..it was embarrassing, but pride aside those lil' things are wicked!
Just helped my awesome mechanic friend replace upper and lower balljoints, mine were pretty trashed - uppers all torn and junk. Moab fast approaching and still need to do rear brakes, timing chain guides - Addicted Offroad is taking a while with the front bumper... gettin' impatient! I want it already dang it!
I think I'd like to check out fins and things sunday

I've only done pay of fins but I don't think I will have time Sunday. I have to be on the road by 12 at the latest.

If we get off the trail early one day, maybe we should do a night run on Fins.

Kevin did they give you a limit on how many people in the camp site? I have a couple brothers that might want to come.

They did not. I'm guessing they'll be happy to let us pack as many people in there as want to pay.

Having your brothers along would be awesome. I like wheeling with those guys.

The only problem is Shay trade is truck for an XJ. He wanted a runner but couldn't find one for the price that was as built as he wanted.

The first part of fins takes less than a couple of hours - we could have you on the road by 10am if we get an early start.  There is Porcupine Rim, as well, in that area.

not sure how I didn't get updates on this thread for awhile..

I've got a lot to do, but I'm in the final stages of piecing together a lift. should put me at 5" with 8 control arms replaced and adjustable. Got the transfer case swapped last weekend, now I have traditional 4wd modes Smile

Kevin, is that four or five tires you have as the spare set? might have to find a cheap fifth one if not. some of those sharp rocks look sharp and kinda sharp.

I just drew up plans for sliders... hopefully I can make that work next weekend. we only have four weekends left.

As far as equipment... I might grab a battery jump pack, if for nothing else as a phone charger. Will also be bringing along a little propane weber grille. And I'll have my little CB/scanner with me if I don't throw one on before the trip (this means I can LISTEN but NOT TALK). carquest down the road has lots of antennas and CB equipment.

We need to get Tyson up Old Ward Canyon as soon as the snow clears. There's a bitch of an offcamber hill that tips you into canyon that will scare the poop out of him, and then he'll be the fearless Ty that we all know and love again.
