3:30 pm I think, that gives Chris the best chance of joining us for the trip down.
Re: 4th quarter 2015 Club Run, November 20th-22nd
I am fine making the trip from Utah County solo if you guys wanna head out earlier. You guys plan on meeting at the Conoco whenever is convenient for you guys and I will try to make it. 1:30PM or 3:30PM are about the same to me with my schedule unknown at work.
Re: 4th quarter 2015 Club Run, November 20th-22nd
3:30 is great, easier.
We meet at the ConocoPhillips at the 400 South Springville/Walmart exit.

Re: 4th quarter 2015 Club Run, November 20th-22nd
You got it. I'll be in a black 3rd gen with a rack on top.
Re: 4th quarter 2015 Club Run, November 20th-22nd
Wait...I will be in a black 3rd gen with a rack on top . I think Kevin's has those rain guards on the windows though, I don't.
So I was gifted a CB Radio last night. I am going to try to install it tonight, but I need to pick up an antenna and a coax cable. Normally I buy my stuff on Amazon / online, since i don't have the time to wait, does anyone know a place that will have something on a shelf. I am in SLC until 5PM so any stores in my area would be nice, after 5PM I will be in Utah County. I thought Low Range in Orem, but they close at 5PM and their website doesn't show any CB antennas. I haven't decided if a magnetic one will do or a 4'-0" one mounted in the rear somewhere.

Re: 4th quarter 2015 Club Run, November 20th-22nd
Exactly. They have just about anything you will need to permanent mount or temp mount your CB.
So, not to be redundant, but I just wanted to reiterate where the plan is to be for the night: North New Home Bench campground, which looks like it's on the south end of Boulder.
GPS: 37.890785, -111.461945
The instructions say "It is just west of the junction of Hell's Backbone/Salt Gultch/State Road 12 and Forest Road 1431 and east of the airport/strip."
My ride is a gray 2nd Gen 4runner, like in my avatar pic. Nothing cool on it to stick out. But if I know me very well, I'd say I'll have a good fire going by the time you all get there. And just in case we do have decent cell service, my number is 801-842-9304 for texting.

Sounds good, should be easy to find you.

You can borrow my CB radio or magnetic antenna if you want.

Is it a hand held with a magnetic mount? that sounds super convenient and then I won't have to figure out how to get all this stuff installed tonight.
Re: 4th quarter 2015 Club Run, November 20th-22nd
It is a hand-held with mag mount.

Want to say thanks for letting me tag along. Good drive, great company.
Kevin you didn't have to say your alternator was bad, because you missed your wife.

Re: 4th quarter 2015 Club Run, November 20th-22nd
I did miss my wife, but I still was seriously contemplating going looking for another campsite along the way home.
No trouble getting here though, thanks all three of you for the help.

No problem, bro! Definitely need to do this one again and get all the way through!
Good trip, great company, awesome time spent! Looking forward to meeting more members, but it's nice to feel a bit more involved and a part of this group now

Sorry that this video is lacking any real off-roading, its more on-roading then anything.
Great trip though, even if we only got 200 yards onto Wolverine Loop. Looking forward to the next time. My boys still had a blast and loved the camp site Ben picked out. Thanks for setting everything up Kevin!

Re: 4th quarter 2015 Club Run, November 20th-22nd
That's a good soundtrack to watch the back of my truck wind through some awesome country, though!
Re: 4th quarter 2015 Club Run, November 20th-22nd
Awesome, Chris! Now I want to get me a new toy to mount in my Runner!

Dead alternator. It gave out an hour or so into the trip Saturday morning. We tried jumpstarting a couple times but could only buy a few miles each time because the charge wasn't deep enough. Then I switched batteries with Chris and that was enough to get us out to Boulder and cell reception, where we called around and found out the nearest 4Runner alternator was 100 miles away in Richfield. So that's where we went and bought a new alternator and swapped it out in the parking lot and then we came home.
So that's what you missed while you were screwing around with that motor. Didja get it pulled?
