I want to see that fat bike cruising down the slopes of Sundance/Snowbird/Canyons etc.

I don't think there's any resorts here that allow fatbikes once they open the slopes for the winter? Some of them allow skibikes though.

That's what they say. Especially on the Draper side and the north facing slopes. I'm sure they get into a bit of an ice/mudcycle in between storms.

Who else is going to try and stay on the trails over the winter? I'm stocking up on winter gear. Grabbed a set of thermal cycling tights on Amazon for $20, and spent another $20 on bar mitts.

That looks like an awesome trip.

This will sound dumb, but one thing holding me back from the bikepacking thing is the amount I sweat when riding...

I don't want to sleep covered in sweat and dust Mad

I really just need to suck it up, fix my hard tail and go.

I've been sick and housebound for a couple weeks and I need to ride. I might have Saturday morning free, I definitely have Sunday morning free, who else wants some dirt church?

Sure you can’t break away and ride Friday morningish?

Road about 10 miles on Thursday, looping the Eagle Bike Park. Make the mile climb and bomb down... repeat.

Nicole has class, I'd have to be home by noon at the latest. It'll be cold and there's a chance of rain, but I'm willing to give it a shot!

Bikes got ripped off yesterday. They got all three - Ian's bike, Anklebiter, and the fatty.

Thieves suck.

I'm sitting here itemizing everything I had on the Fuji, for the insurance company. I didn't realize I had over $1200 into that bike. Shocked

Depending what you clear, let me know if you want a diamondback. I checked the website for your the other day and they have pretty limited availability but they could release some new inventory to it soon.

Not a lot right now, if you're not in a hurry I remember last year shortly after the new year a whole bunch came back in. I'll keep an eye out for mediums.

No Mason, but they do have both fat bikes right now, they also have the Release 1 and Release 3 (mines the release 2) All in your size. Only hard tail they have right now is the overdrive

They also have the Atroz 3

And a couple 24" but I think you moved Ian up

No word yet. We did get Ian's mountain bike back, so I'm not shopping for him right now. He'll probably get a new bike next year.

I'd go for another El Oso but it was a 20" and I think just a hair small.

How did you get Ian's back? I keep checking they haven't added anything else. If you want a full suspension you're welcome to take mine out for a rip see if you like the release. I love it even with its little rims

Also on a positive note, I passed my instructor test on Friday I didn't get to do the flight portion because of the weather but hopefully I get to take care of it this Thursday. So hopefully when the weather gets better i'll have a lot more free time and a much more flexible schedule.
