Damn you Kevin.....actually I found a bitchin 60 series I keep trying to talk the owner into selling me. I've stopped by his house a few times while at work. It's an '86 with only 148k original miles. All original drivetrain that he's completely rebuilt after it sat for a while. OME leafs/shocks all around on 33's with very little body rust or damage at all. And it's a manual trans too. That's what I'm holding out for right now

60s are the bomb. If I get bored with the Bastard, I think a 60 will be my next truck.

I'm sure if you can find a ride for it you could store it at the farm.

If it's not already gone and somebody wants it, I can get a double axle flat bed with a ramp on Friday to take it pretty much wherever on the wasatch front

I have no need for it, but if one of you want to pick it up, let me know and I will talk to my dad about storing it at the farm.

You guys know that's just a body and frame, right?  No motor/trans/gas tank/axles/anything.  And it's not even an especially clean body.

A complete rear axle is going to be about $100, at least $200 for a front (more if it's got high steer), $100 for crappy used springs (much more for good ones), stick with the 22RE setup and you'll spend $300+ for a motor that will need work, you'll probably need a harness to go with it and those aren't cheap, at least $300 for a W56 trans and tcase, $100 or more on driveshafts, $50 for a gas tank but plan on it needing a new fuel pump and bracket, and how much do you want to spend on tires and wheels?  Not to bust anyone's bubble but you'll be $2000 into that truck before you can blink, plus all your weekends for six months putting it together... in the meantime you can get a decentish stock 1st gen on KSL for $1000-$1200 if you wait.  This shell is not a good idea unless you just need the frame or body and already have good parts to throw on.

Having said all that, I want the quarterpanels, so if somebody buys it to part out, I'll help tear it up.  Very Happy

Kevin, you should buy for the quarter panels.  Then you should build some half doors.  You could probably cut the sliders off and sell them for $100.  It also looks like it has a heavy duty front leaf hanger you could salvage.

For the low price of $100 you always have room for another project to abandon :pullhair:

I was thinking $100 for all the spare body panels I'd ever need wasn't a bad deal. So, Kevin, you can't have the quarterpanels.
