Dilemma Empty Dilemma

Post by Andrew Fri Nov 02, 2012 2:50 pm

So the guy selling this 4Runner and I have been going back and forth over PM on RME. Apparently he would like to trade me for my first gen (plus some cash on my end, obviously). Is it worth it if I can get it for my rig + 2 or 3k? No way I'm paying 12k for that thing. He doesn't sound desperate, but it sounds like he's not getting much interest.

My only hesitation is that money I put towards that is sacrificed from my Tundra build... Sad

It would be a nice upgrade - sweet linked suspension and a V6. BUT, no front locker, no sliders, no t-case gears...

Honestly as much as I love my 3rd Gen, your 1st seems fairly well built and capable. If it were me I would keep the 1st Gen and build the Tundra. I even thought long and hard about selling mine for that 85 on rme. But that is a damn hard decision good luck.

Somebody else's project, that's asking for trouble IMO.

I agree with the others, it looks like it needs about $5-6k more to be where it needs to be. A d44 on 37s is pushing it. No sliders, no bumpers, no gears. Your rig is way cooler, more capable, and it'd be way more fun to wheel.
