Fish!

Post by Kevin on Wed May 22, 2013 5:42 am

I cast from shore or my canoe, I'm thinking about learning to flyfish. Who else has poles? I need a fishing buddy!

One of the things I like about fishing is the quiet and solitude. I like a jetski as much as the next guy, but jetskiing doesn't normally bring quiet and solitude. Smile

Wear noise cancelling headphones Very Happy

Sorry, I'm not much into fishing. It looks really boring and the fishermen always glare at me for ruining their quiet and solitude Rolling Eyes

That's what they get for fishing where people jetski, the lazy bastards. Laughing

I used to do a lot of lake fishing and I really suck at fly fishing, but have been thinking about getting back into it. Where do you usually go Kevin?

I've tried fishing the creeks and reservoirs up American Fork Canyon without much success, although I've pulled decent browns in Silver Lake above the mountain above the reservoir. I've had better luck up Murdoch Basin off Mirror Lake Highway, lots of brook and rainbow up there. I'd like to try Price and Provo rivers, but I don't know where to start.

My father and grandfather were always trollers. I hated trolling, so I'm trying to learn to fish all over again. Smile

I never did any trolling, just shore fishing usually around mirror lake in the uintahs. I did some fly stuff on the Provo and always saw other people pulling nice browns out, just not me! Haha
