Gotta make sure the wife doesn't have anything planned for us, but I'm down. Where do you wanna go?

Made it to the top of Potato Hill before I turned around. Sweet Holy Moses but I'd forgotten how brutal the climb on that service road is.
Re: Official MTB Thread
I'm available tomorrow afternoon if anyone wants to go for a scoot

Re: Official MTB Thread
I know it's short notice and a weekday, but Josh and I are going to shuttle laps in LCC tomorrow morning.
Re: Official MTB Thread
Not until I get my tire replaced. I patched it again, but I'm not going the do anything fast with this

Re: Official MTB Thread
What time? If you're thinking 8am or earlier I can go before work. If so, Kevin, bring your tire.

Re: Official MTB Thread
We're meeting at 0800 at the parking lot at the mouth of Little Cottonwood, planning to shuttle Quarry until our legs fall off. I'll bring the tire.
Re: Official MTB Thread
I'm almost tempted to try my fix. I glued a piece of inner tube to the sidewall and then reinforced with 3 layers of fiberglass strapping tape. So far it's held 30 psi.

Re: Official MTB Thread
Try it. It's on the rear and you've got a tube inside, so it won't be a disaster if it lets go. Quarry is right on the road the whole way so if it blows you just hang out and we'll come get ya.

Re: Official MTB Thread
I'll know in the morning, but I think I finally got a tire to hold air, ghetto tubeless. Trick was tubeless-ready tires and a little grease on the valve stem cork.
Re: Official MTB Thread
ok, so school me again. Why is tubeless so great?

Re: Official MTB Thread
Self sealing but lighter weight than a slime tube, run lower PSI without risking a pinch flat. I'm going to add a ghetto CushCore setup which should strengthen the sidewalls and let me run an even lower PSI.
Re: Official MTB Thread
Quarry is fun. Chunky AF with some sandy flat-out sections to spice it up. Lots of hiking and biking traffic, we'll start earlier next time.
Re: Official MTB Thread
Nick is threatening to ride Saturday morning, so probably go break him in on Ann's if anyone wants to come enjoy an easy climb. Though i'll probably be without Nick

Re: Official MTB Thread
Ian has his team practice out at Eagle Mountain at 0900 Saturday, so if I ride that's where I'm going to be.

Re: Official MTB Thread
My wife has an embroidery machine, you should come up with a good Olaf Logo. I suggest a bicycle with a large band-aid on it.
