Anyone planning a trip this week?

Hey all, I'm new to the forum and rock crawling. I recently bought a 1988 Toyota 4runner. It's all stock with a small lift, no sliders. Looking to go to 5mile or AF. The only time I can't go this week is Saturday. But if nothing is being planned to this week I can look into next week. Thanks and hope to see some of you out on the trail!

I have this weekend off if we want to get out. I'll be down in Utah county as well so I wouldn't mind hitting Snakes or Forest Lake. We'll just have to go at a different time than every other person out on the holiday weekend drunken

If we did do snakes we could maybe shoot guns in celebration of freedom....just sayin

We're thinking about trying to get out this weekend, just to get away from the heat. You won't catch me anywhere near AFC or Five Mile though, that's madness. Anyone down for Skyline south of US6? Or somewhere in the Fishlakes?

Where exactly is skyline? And how difficult is it?

Skyline runs south from US6 just before the drop into Price, and eventually pops out down by I70. Along the way it hits some serious elevation. Supposed to be some amazing scenery up there, and I don't doubt it.

It doesn't even qualify for a difficulty rating. Ty's minivan could do it, if his wife lets him out.

I would love to say that I'm going there to explore all the beautiful trails, alas, I am not. Ouray has a 3 day celebration for the 4th of July and we are meetings some friends that are coming over from Denver. It will be awesome to be in that historic city but we won't be venturing out very far with our families...unfortunately.

We could just go drive the squaw peak road loop to get some elevation in on a short trip but I have no idea how busy that road would be

Anywhere along the Wasatch will be crowded. Three day holiday weekend plus 100 deg valley heat makes for too many damned people up the hill.
