I'd never heard of these trails until you guys mentioned them in the Death Valley thread.

Looks fun.

I don't remember where I heard about it, but its been on my wish list for quite some time. I've just never been able to get down there. 5 hours seem like such a far drive. Now that I know someone who has ran them I feel more comfortable going. I may try to talk my dad into going down there for one of our trip that we would usually go to Moab.

Andrew, how much wheeling is down there? How capable of a rig is needed and how long would you recommend staying down there?

If you want to drive the entire trail system and play in the dunes, we could easily spend a couple of days. Actually rock crawling trails, I think there is 3 or 4, and they are not very long, so easily doable in a day. I say we look at heading down on a Friday night and play Saturday/Sunday morning and then come home.

As far as rig capability, I'd say 33's and at least 1 locker for most of the trails. There are some insane obstacles but they are easily bypassed. There are also a ton of dirt trails that are just for exploring...but it's the desert...so there's not much there...Very Happy

Sounds like an after tax return trip so my rig can make it. Laughing
