Re: Where the coyotes?
Heck, yes! I've just never had a good weapon to use on them. My .30-06 is a little too much, even with the hand-loaded 110 grain Hornady A-max's. I picked up this AR through a group buy from my neighbor who works for the UHP. I then realized the 55 grains I shoot out of it are perfect for the coyotes. So I picked up a 3-12 Bushnell AR scope and got it mounted this morning. I'm off right now to sight it in. I've been sleeping with my window open at night and around 3am can really hear them barking up a storm out towards Lake Mountain. Now I just need to figure out how to lure them out during the day...offroad_medic wrote:Did you do the state required training to make sure that you get paid for each one you kill? I always used to go down by Delta but lately I've heard they are getting harder and harder to find. I definitely need to get out and go shooting more.

Go find some rabbits and smell off their carcass will help the coyotes come in. Also if you have a decent predator call that is loud enough to carry well, they will come. I seriously dislike how expensive .223 is now though.

Speaking of shooting things. I may be in Brigham City Saturday shooting Pheasants. Let me know if anyone wants to join. My dads got the land, I hear the birds are flying. I won't know for sure until probably Wednesday, but I will keep you posted.
