So I got a 5 point infraction for posting in a spam thread. I didn't know that was a bad thing, because I reported the thread and it usually just goes to the recycle bin or whatnot.

I'll have to wait for two days before I can review the forum rules, but that really should have been a warning. Someone must not like me.

ahh I found the rules after I found a way in. I see it does say not to post in spam threads, as it makes it harder for moderators to detect.

But I immediately reported the thread as spam and I know that goes directly to a "questionable threads" forum for the mods so... that still felt way unnecessary.

I've got 5 bucks says that was CoB that did that. He's a nice guy, but he's a frickin' Nazi with those silly little rules.

nah actually I looked at the email again and it was from infraction manager. Not sure if it's a cover name, or a bot or what...

that's pretty serious though. something like that should be a warning the first time.

BUT yeah, remember when the text boxes broke and you couldn't read any posts? I got a nasty PM from him telling me not to post if I didn't like it. I just posting to help others because they started to make tons of threads.

That was my first thought too. I am going to say something in the forum improvement thread though. forum rules say it's only a 24 hour ban but it's really 48.

"Infraction manager" is the cover account they use because they're too spineless to let you know who it really was. I dropped SV a line for you, maybe he can lift it.

I gotta say, tr4.org is a lame site. That "admin" dude doesn't give a crap about what goes on as long as he's making money off the ads - he's not a car/truck guy, he doesn't own a Yota, he doesn't wheel, he just owns the site and milks it for every penny he can get. As a result, the moderation sucks and there's no real response to the community, and the place just stagnates. There's only one thing keeping me there, and that's that Yotatech is worse Very Happy

Agreed... at least the site admin of focusfanatics is highly active in the community. I was hoping if would be the case there as well, but after mentioning how renaming a forum would affect site traffic, I knew better.

That is a disappointment.

Gosh i think i lasted maybe 2 days at yotatech. Maybe it's changed but a lot of the guys there are kinda stuck-up pricks. I'm sure if I dump $10K into my truck then i might get some respect but sheesh I've got no luv over there.

I'm glad you got back in man. COB is a very witty guy. It's better to be on his good side, cause that guy is a freaking genius when it comes to an argument. He's very good with his words.

I like CoB, I really do. He's got a great truck and he's done some really cool things to it. I just don't think he's moderator material - he's kind of an asshole once he's got the banhammer in his hand.
