Yup, 1999. If yours had running boards, I'm wondering if it was really a Highlander, or just a black Sport with the hood "scoop" and e-locker.

Well after doing some research and having Kevin scare me, I have found from several spots and posts that say the running boards are an accessory options. The base model comes without the running boards.
