Snow Wheelin'! Storms a comin'!
It's supposed to snow a bit this week so wheeling somewhere like Snakes soon should be fun! It will be cold enough that the snow shouldn't melt.
Who has this weekend free? Or next weekend?

I have this weekend off. Nicole's truck should have a set of Duratracs on it by then, maybe I'll have to break them in for her.

They've got some tread left, but the last time we had them in for balancing the shop monkey took 45 minutes and came out shaking his head...

As in enough tread to be street legal and give reasonable traction?

About a 1/4in, maybe 3/16ths?
If you're thinking what I think you're thinking, you need to know that these tires are loud and out of round, they do stock gearing no favors at all, and based on how much they've worn since we bought the truck I'd guess they've got about a year left before they don't pass safety. In terms of road traction, they're a mud-terrain. They don't have awesome road traction when they're brand new - these have less.
If that's all good with you, make me an offer. I'll probably say yes.

They're a 285/75/16 right? I may be interested. I know I would need to do sone work to get them to fit well and my flex would be decreased though....but having better tires would be nice. Did they ever get them balanced or were they that out of round?

They 285s. They rub on the Wiferunner at full stuff, and she's got the light duty OME, prox 2 inches?

Re: Snow Wheelin'! Storms a comin'!
While still in college in Rexburg, ID, I had the pleasure of changing the clutch in my '91 pickup during the middle of winter in our apartment complex parking lot. It was covered in ice, which didn't help when we were trying to separate the t-case from the tranny and the tranny from the engine. On our backs, we kept sliding and couldn't generate enough "umph" to separate them. Finally broke down and bought a come-along and used the rear bumper to separate those suckers. I couldn't feel my whole body by the end of the day (Hi's were usually single digits up there...).
