Holiday wheeling
I'm off the 30th and 31st, I work the morning of the 1st, then I'm off the 2nd and the 3rd. I'm down for day trips or camping, anybody else?
Re: Holiday wheeling
Didn't you have the 28th and 29th off as well?

Re: Holiday wheeling
I probably can't commit until closer. I'm the lucky one that is working through the holidays, and if we get snow, I'll be busy. But it sounds like a good idea!

Ok, plans are solidifying, looking like the Newfies the 29th and 30th. You should all drop everything and call in sick and come play. It's forecast to be a little warmer than the FYTO trip.

Re: Holiday wheeling
Forecast is for a high of 26 and dropping, so I'm still on for this Thursday/Friday. Meet point will be the Shell in Lake Point, leaving from there at 0930. We will explore the west side of the mountains Thursday and camp somewhere below or in Miner's Basin, if anyone is coming out after work I'll post GPS for a couple likely spots and make sure we're easy to find. We'll spend Friday on the east side, focusing on Sleigh and Dell canyons. Anybody coming out to daytrip can meet us by the road from the causeway around 0900, let me know if you're coming so we don't leave you behind. CB channel 22, 2m 146.520.
No idea how much snow we're going to find out there. Bring your straps.

Campsites probably here 41.232155 -113.398660 or here 41.218009 -113.404883, if those don't work out we'll be somewhere nearby and findable. Saturday morning we'll break camp and meet daytrippers at 0930 here 41.218009, -113.404883.
Hope to see you guys.

No popsicles. It was a kick in the pants, I think I'm starting to like this winter camping thing.
Re: Holiday wheeling
Anyone off tomorrow want to go bust some tracks in the desert?
