Some pics from the TCRR
We didn't find Zaquistan. I know where it is now, but I'm not sure how to get to it. We had an awesome day anyway, here's some pics.
Driving along the TCRR, most of the trestles we saw were blocked off and the road routed around. One of the smaller ones was still in good enough shape to allow traffic.
Remains of (probably) a dugout line shack at the Watercress station, used from 1910 to 1940 by local ranchers to get their livestock on the train.
The next two pics are the site of the railroad roundhouse at Terrace, the depressions in the ground are machinery pits. In the foreground and background of the second pic you can see the railroad ties still in the ground where the rail ran into and out of the roundtable. Check out the satellite view at 41.502658 -113.518210 to see the overall layout. Thousands of people lived here before they closed the station, now all that's left are holes in the ground, railroad ties, and a pile of bricks.
There are a few grave markers left in the cemetary, here's one:
After we left Terrace, the hunt for Zaquistan was on so I stopped taking pics, except to document the Mighty Pumpkin Hunt we engaged in right after lunch:
We REALLY have to get out there and drive the entire TCRR. That's some amazing country up there, and the history is awesome too.

Looks like some good exploring. Any good spots for camping?

Re: Some pics from the TCRR
There were some flattish spots halfway up Mt. Terrace, and oodles of flat sandy land around the base. No trees to be seen though.
