Re: So this happened.
I like the look, gotta color match that cover though. I use my bed too much to have a hard cover like that though.

Re: So this happened.
Ideally, I'd have a rollup cover and I'd mount a rack over the bedrails. This comes off easy enough if it has to though.
It's hard finding used stuff for this funky bed shape. I think that's my biggest gripe about the truck so far, is the retarded and undersized bed.

Good thing I don't have a tube bender and pipe notcher. I'm so tempted right now.
Re: So this happened.
So... long travel with the shocks mounted up in the bed?

Why'd you need to pull the bed?

Re: So this happened.
Not much. I thought it would easier to take the bed off than try to drop a full gas tank. Gave that up due to seriously rusted out bolts and dropped the tank anyway, not that hard, now I'm replacing all the rusted bed hardware and I'll do new rear shocks while I'm at it, because it's impossible to get to the studs with the bed in place.
Just seeing it off the truck makes me wanna pitch it in the back yard and tube it out though. It's a good thing I'm broke.

I might, when it comes time to wrestle it back on. Or I might have it under control. I'll holler if it's too heavy.

My wife took one look at this and said "Hello Clarice".
She's ruined that movie for me now.

I flippin' wish. Maybe some day. That's a lot of money in that truck. Here's his Instagram: http://websta.me/p/1127867840691983903_261510532
Ty, can we build you one of these?

Re: So this happened.
Nope, that's scratch built. Noah Taylor is a fabricator with a stocked metal shop, we worked out a little work trade and he threw that together today. What you don't see are the shackle mounts we put on after I took those pics. I'll post some more once I get it cleaned up and painted.
And then I wanna go find some snow and get stuck.
