Shop to do 3.0 to 3.4 swap

I'm considering doing the 3.0 to 3.4 swap in my '90. I'm not really skilled enough, nor do I possess all of the necessary tools to do the job so I'm looking to have it done in a shop. Anywhere from Provo to Logan is fine as long as they will do it right and stand behind their part of the work. Does anyone have any suggestions for a shop to contact?

I only know two shops that do that swap, Locked Offroad and Trailridge Offroad. I'm not sure I'd recommend either of them though. Mitch at Unlimited Fabrication has the skills to do the swap and do it right, but that might be small potatoes for him.

This swap is easy enough that there aren't a lot of shops doing it.

Thanks Kevin. I'll talk to those shops and give some more thought into doing it myself with the help of a few friends.

Yotatech has several good threads on the swap. If you're willing to buy a conversion harness, the rest of it is nearly a bolt-in affair. As I understand it, the motor mounts are the same and the 3.4 will bolt up to your bellhousing, so there's not a ton of fab work to be done.

You could try calling Fat Bob's Garage but I vote you just do it on your own since it is pretty straight forward for the most part.

I put a few more bucks in the 3vze today and so far it's running kinda sorta ok. Hopefully it buys me enough time to decide if I want to do the swap and read up on it, or just sell this thing off and buy a gen 3 altogether. I definitely love owning a 4runner, just don't know if mine is worth the money it may need dumped into it.

There is a shop in St. George that specializes in this swap - I've seen it advertised on KSL many times.
