Snakes or AFC Thursday night?
Today I pounded down my pinch welds farther, put on shackles an inch longer, and got some longer bumpstops on the truck. I need to go flex it out and see where I'm at, anybody wanna go play Thursday afternoon/evening/night?
Re: Snakes or AFC Thursday night?
Wow, aren't you cool
Come up to Logan a week from Saturday and then you can flex your bad boy on Millville.

I'll be working a week from Saturday. I have the weekend after that off, will you still be around?
This Thursday, we're meeting at the Chevron at 0930 in the morning, because that's what works best for everybody on RME who actually wants to wheel with me.

I'm driving up to school a week from Friday, so I'll be around until May (minus December)Kevin wrote:I'll be working a week from Saturday. I have the weekend after that off, will you still be around?
And I'd like to come down and do some trails or Snakes again, though you should definitely come up! Though I don't think anything near Logan is challenging or entertaining enough compared to what you usually do. I've heard there's a rock garden and harder trail near Mt. Logan, though I've never found it since there's always been too much snow (even in August) for me to find it.

Left Hand Fork Canyon is supposed to have a rock slide that used to be impassable, but guys are getting through it now from what I've heard. And Providence is supposed to at least need 4wd in a couple spots.
I don't need challenging to have fun, though. I'm having a great time exploring what my truck will do, but I'm just happy to be on any dirt at all as long as there's good weather and good friends.

Wasn't this supposed to be a Thurs. evening run? Doing it during the day is lame.

I was thinking evening, but morning worked better for everybody who expressed interest. Besides, hush, you're supposed to be packing.

How is constrictor? First off who from RME is going? Am I going to be able to bypass Wayne's world and some of the other harder obsticals?

There is a flat road that goes past Wayne's World so no worries there.Thardy wrote:How is constrictor? First off who from RME is going? Am I going to be able to bypass Wayne's world and some of the other harder obsticals?

WOW Andrew! Welcome to the Night Chat!! How long should it take to run both Rattlesnake and Constrictor?

Re: Snakes or AFC Thursday night?
By myself, I could run both in maybe an hour. Rattlesnake should take maybe 45 min. with a group of 10 rigs...although it depends how many people need a spotter and how many stops are made to get out and take "action shots." Constrictor is not very long at all...but it's a tight squeeze and has a couple of technical sections (e.g. Radiator Rapids) where the rocks get tricky and the correct line is crucial. This trail could take hours depending on how capable the rigs are.
Oh, and technically it's not night for me...right now it's about 11am (9 hours ahead) here in Estonia. I'm sitting in some very boring meetings - thank goodness for DRT4R and RME!!!

Dempsey/TurboMinivan, Bret/blznnp, Brian/TJDukit, and Nash Boyack. All good fellas, except for Nash who I don't know yet.Thardy wrote:How is constrictor? First off who from RME is going? Am I going to be able to bypass Wayne's world and some of the other harder obsticals?
How built is the Jeep you're borrowing? I think if you've got 33s, a locker, and sliders, there's nothing to scare you on Constrictor. Brady tried it on 32s with AWD and no locker, but he didn't make it up Radiator Rapids. My '86 did, thanks to some awesome spotting from Andrew. My '85 didn't make it up Radiator Rapids the last time I was out, although I did spot a locked 3rd gen on 33s up it. I think a front locker really helps there.

I'm stoked you're coming out, Ty. Hopefully this'll light a fire under you, I still think October would be a great time for a maiden voyage for Stilts!
