Stinger or no stinger? Empty Stinger or no stinger?

Stinger or no stinger that is the question. I have always wanted to put a stinger on and now that I have a welder (temporarily) now would be a good time to do it. What are your thoughts? If done right I think it might look pretty cool.

If you put a stinger on, please don't make it huge!

Stingers are nice. I was able to use mine as a target to aim my truck up things.

I vote yes as well (since I've got one). Just don't make it look like a huge b*ner coming off the front of your rig.

I don't mind a grill hoop to protect the radiator, but stingers are stupid and pointless.

This is more of what I was imagining.

So I am going to go with a stinger, BUT when I talk stinger I'm not talking a huge stinger. Technically there is no difference between a "Stinger" and a "Grill Hoop". It all depends on what you want to call it. I would call what Brady has on his a "Stinger", yet someone else might call it a "Grill Hoop". In fact Addicted Offroad calls what Brady has a "Stinger". Yes "Stingers" do have a purpose. I seen and used them many times. My plan will be something in between what my dad has on his CJ and what Brady has, probably closer to that of Brady's.

Look about 3/4 of the way down where it says PLEASE CHOOSE.

Call it what you want, but I don't understand the purpose of a great big hoop that extends out in front of the truck or above the line of the hood.  A small hoop that protects the radiator and core support in the event of an impact or rollover I can grok, but anything bigger than that doesn't make sense to me.

That's what's nice about wheeling though, everybody gets to drive their own truck.  Smile
