I have a saturday off and I'm gonna head up wheeling AFC again. Ben already said he is coming. Who else would want to come? Might as well get as many people as possible

Saturday is opening day for me!

It's Wabbit buck season, and I'm hunting wabbits bucks, so be vewy, vewy quiet!

Haha. It is actually in my hunting area but I think we're heading somewhere else for the opening.

Thats what I thought but I was distracted by the vewy vewy nice wabbit hunt.

That's the goal! I also have my extended archery season for Elk that goes until mid-December. If anyone is up for hiking up Millcreek or Lamb Canyons in the snow, let me know! Hey...that rhymes...

Maybe. What time? I don't think anyone would ride with me though since campus is empty with it being a 3 day weekend so I don't know if I want to drive that far alone and scared... But I also have nothing better to do this weekend. At all.

Be aware that you are going to find LOTS of hunters up AF Canyon this weekend.

Make sure your rig is sporting enough hi-viz orange to not get mistaken for a deer and shot at

It's going slowly! Yesterday I took a wheel off so I could get a ton of pictures and measurements. Honestly, if you plan on any mild suspension work it almost seems worth it to replace the IFS since OEM is so complicated. Like if you look at your stock upper control arm, it bolts to the frame, then has this weird curve around to the ball joint, then flattens, then the area the ball joint bolts too is angled down, then angled again and a different curve around to the back of the UCA. You can tell the OEM stuff is insanely engineered, but it seems like it's overly complicated when you could just have a bent tube with a heim stuck in it more or less.

So that's what's going to take/is taking the longest, is modeling the OEM gear so I know how strong OEM is so I can make my design at least that strong. But since it's so hard to model all the compound curves and angles, I might just get it close and then add a 20% factor of safety and then make the new design 50% stronger than that or something. Anyways, it's going and I'm hopeful it'll actually be reality in the next few months!
