Eric isn't going to make it. As far as I know, Ashton and Conner are still planning on coming down.

My wife sprung a surprise on me, I'm not going to be able to leave Thursday afternoon like I wanted. I think my plan now is to leave really-frickin-early Friday morning, like 0500 early, which should put me on Gooseberry Mesa shortly before ten. Do you still want to ride with me, Josh?

Where at on the mesa do you want to meet? One of those parking lots?

That'd work for me.

Is there anything else on your list to ride, down there? Conner isn't coming down until Friday night and wanted to ride the Goose Saturday. We could always do it twice, but what about Wire Mesa? Or picking up our unfinished business with Gander? Or even something down in St George, if you wanted.

37.151790, -113.171954 is an awesome little spot we've used a couple times.  I don't have a plan B if it's already occupied.

There's tons of camping up there though.  Trailforks has a grip of potential campsites flagged.

Also tell Nicole this has been planned for a while and Josh needs some camping time with friends so the surprise can wait a few days Very Happy

New semester, and she scheduled a class for Thursday afternoons and forgot to mention that her semester starts next week. As I am in favor of her graduating as soon as possible (and also continuing to have sex with me), I don't really get the option of telling her to pound sand. Sorry.

We'll hang Friday and Saturday night though. Which night is tacos and rum night?

Go down Thursday night, camp on Gooseberry, ride Friday with Brady and ride Saturday without him, come back Saturday night?  I'll see if Connor and Eric wanna come.

Can carpool if you want.  I've got plenty of room. Very Happy

I don't have a huge opinion on where we ride Friday. Gooseberry is a good time, but there looks to be a lot of options in St. George (looking at Santa Clara River Reseve).

St George would vastly increase our odds of finding post-ride nachos.  If I leave town at 0500, I could meet Josh on the mesa and be at the Bearclaw Poppi trailhead or wherever by 1100 or so?

Josh, let's plan on having our Friday night potluck at a likely cantina in StG before we head back to camp. Less dishes that way.

I think you guys are riding Gooseberry on Saturday. I’m down to ride it Friday if you want to ride 2 days there.

B-b-but... nachos. We don't have to eat in St George, we can head back up the mesa first if you want.

Gooseberry on Saturday. We can ride the Goose Friday too if you want, I don't care. Guacamole on Sunday, not that you care about that.

Well with the weather coming in north sunday I can probably talk my student out of the flight. But you have to convince Nick to stay another day

Just tell Nick's wife to pack some extra clothes for him and don't tell him until you get down there.

Conner's out and I never heard back from Ashton, so I guess it's just us anyway. Brady, what's your preference for Friday, Gooseberry or St George? I'm easy either way.

The riding near St. George saves me about 1/2 hour each way, but is unknown. Goose is awesome... so there's that.

So pick one. If you're 100% on the fence I'd rather ride the Goose on Friday. But you're the one with the extra drive time, so you choose.
