Infrared Sensors Empty Infrared Sensors

I didn't want to hijack Brady's build thread with this discussion so I'm starting a new thread...

On the ExpeditionOne website, they have this under their Tundra front bumper.

**Due to customer requests we have added sensor holes as a standard feature on all our Tundra bumpers however, we cannot guarantee that your factory infrared sensors will work with our bumper.

I assumed this was for airbags but you guys have pointed out those are not in the bumpers...so what are these "infrared sensors?" My guess is no matter what type of bumper I go with I'll have to deal with these.

I'm guessing they're the "back up" sensors, only they don't have those on front bumpers.

I wonder if it's just a standard disclaimer they put on all their bumpers. Their tundra is flat out sexy.

Looks like there is a "park-assist" option on the Tundra, which would use these sensors. I don't have that option so maybe I don't even have to worry about them.

That sounds like what the infrared sensors are used for.
