February shenanigans
I'm treating myself to a trip somewhere in late Feb. I'm thinking St. George-ish, but maybe Moab depending on the weather. I'm definitely taking the bike, might do some hiking and 4wd exploring too. I'll probably leave Friday and come back Tuesday, but that's fluid.

Hmm I'll be in St. George on the 21 and 22

The evening of the 22nd is the earliest I could get down there. Can you stretch your stay? You gotta ride Gooseberry with me. Wire Mesa looks killer too.

Where are you planning to stay? I'd have to drive my POV down instead of the roller if i'm going to try and stay after

Re: February shenanigans
Probably camp on Gooseberry Mesa? We found a killer spot last trip up in the middle of the mesa, very secluded but right next to the trails. Pretty AF too.
Re: February shenanigans
What are the plans? Camping at Gooseberry again?

killer spot if you don't need to drive a tent stake, but yes, a killer spot.Kevin wrote:Probably camp on Gooseberry Mesa? We found a killer spot last trip up in the middle of the mesa, very secluded but right next to the trails. Pretty AF too.

I don't see any reason not to. It's kinda central to all the trails around Hurricane and close enough to town for easy resupply and grub runs.

Well, there's other spots up there. We passed a bunch on the road in that might have deeper sand for stake driving.

Trying to figure out logistics, problem is I'll have a bunch of guns and ammo with me that I won't feel comfortable leaving at camp while we ride.
I'm actually off Friday and Saturday so I'd love to attend for once

You don't patrol the canyons on your mountain bike with an AR and Mossberg on your back? I'm disappointed.

Beretta 1301, and I don't patrol the canyons on a mountain bike since I still can't get them to buy us any.... even though we are the only division that actually has mountains and the only division without mountain bikes

Locking them in the truck isn't secure enough?

Nope especially since one of them is department issue

Unfortunately I'm out, we just went under contract on a new house so I have lots of chaos to follow. Not even gonna make it to the shoot
