Uinta's

Post by TRD270 on Wed Aug 09, 2017 9:40 am

Kevin and I are working on a trip, thinking about heading to the Uinta's on the 24th for two nights. I'm still waiting for approval for the 25th off, but wanted to put it out for you other guys if you can make it.

I can't get the 24th off, so don't worry about canceling your class.

I'm not, my plan is to sit around camp, fish, and watch the giant pile of wood i've amassed slowly disappear. I need some rest and relaxation work has been shit and stressful of late.

I'm open to suggestions, I was thinking marsh lake area. Kevin and I killed the fishing last time we were there. But as Kevin pointed out it will likely be crowded..... but so will anywhere up there i'm willing to take the dodge soooooo.

The other easy options are Whitney or Murdoch Basin. I don't want to deal with the crowds at Whitney, and you don't want to flog your truck on the rough road into Murdoch, so that leaves the north slope or the developed campgrounds along the highway. And as noted, the fish in Bridger were lining up to get on our hooks last year so...

There's a couple nice rivers along the north slope I'd like to check out while we're up there. If the fishing at Bridger is as good as it was before I can see that getting kinda boring pretty quick and we'll want something to do.

Think its going to be a matter of picking a frequency and knowing your ETA so we can listen as I'm sure we are going to have to do some searching

Also wife has decided she wants to go so she'll be there along with the Kona monster

How's Kona with other dogs? Thinking about bringing my pointer, not the mastiff monster dog.

Kona is fine around other dogs, she's a little reactive at first especially if she's on leash, but not aggressive at all and she loves to play with other dogs

146.520 works.

We saw some spots a little further south of China Meadows that looked good last time, one of those would be my first choice. What time should we listen for you, Brady?

146.520, check.

I'm not sure what time to have you guys listening. If my parts arrive from FedEx and I get everything installed I'll try and leave in the morning, but who knows.
