CB Antenna Mount
Anyone that has a CB installed where/how did you mount the antenna? I am looking into possibly doing something like this...
http://www.yotatech.com/f180/custom-3rd-gen-4runner-cb-antenna-mount-149373/
Then installing the CB where the Ashtray is like I had done on my last Runner. Any ideas on mounts or if you have made one yourself your input would be greatly appreciated! I may be installing mine this weekend. Just haven't decided yet. LMK if anyone else is needing to install one as well and we could meet up and I can help if you need too.

Re: CB Antenna Mount
This is the one I have, its from cbi:
Kinda expensive and a little overkill, but I didn't have time or the tools at the time to make one. I really like the location, and wouldn't want it anywhere else. I was going to mount it in the back, but after some research I figured it would get better reception either here or the roof.
This is the cb I have:
Absolutely love the way I can disconnect it and shove it in the glove box. I just wish I would've made it connect somewhere else. It kinda dangles down by my leg when using it and rubs me the wrong way...
Do any of you have a SWR meter? I really need to tune my antenna, but don't want to buy one. I would throw a couple bucks someone's way if they could tune it for me.

I may be down for a trip down there. That's just a long ways to drive. Is this somewhere you can wheel year round? A lot of our wheeling area gets closed up here shortly.

Re: CB Antenna Mount
So I finally found a mount that will work I think for the antenna mount for the taillight mount.
I am hoping that this one will work for me.. might have a slight modification from what I have heard from others to make sure it doesn't hit the door when closing
Also got my swr meter ordered to tune the CBs... so if anyone needs to tune/calibrate theirs lmk.. BoostedRNR let me know if you are ever down this way and we could see about hitting up some trails and what not.

I will have to take you up on that offer! I have been putting way to much money into my ride these past couple months. I just need to drive it and save up for an e-locker!

Re: CB Antenna Mount
Hey BoostedRNR I got the SWR meter in the mail over the weekend... so whenever you are down here in the Utah County area let me know and we can get yours all set up and tuned. Then maybe get a group to go out to the snakes....
