Sept. 13th 5mile

Post by offroad_medic on Mon Sep 08, 2014 9:17 pm

While Kevin is in Moab putting more scratches on the Wifemobile, Brady and I will be at 5 mile running Rattlesnake/Constrictor and having an all around good time. We haven't worked out exact details yet but everyone is invited. That is all.

I am available between the hours of 11am and about 4pm. Brady is going to take my first gen and I'll have the RZR... Twisted Evil

Can your 1st gen be driven to the trail or should I practice the flat tow procedure?

So let's plan on meeting at the trailhead at 1130 hours and go from there. I have a feeling I'm going to be jealous of the RZR and want one that much more....

Rear driveline is removed right now so it's ready to be flat-towed...let's do that! Typically I do just drive it out to 5MP...

Flat tow it is then. I'll swing by your place a little after 11, if that's ok. I'll text you for your address.

Sounds like it's going to be a party. Let's try to get your tundra up the rapids too then. Twisted Evil

Golly this looks like fun. I sure wish I didn't have to go to Moab.

Andrews' Tundra has wheelbase, it'd make the Rapids look easy. I dunno if it'd make it past Fang though, and if it did I'd pay good money to watch the 50-point turnaround in front of Eagles Nest. Very Happy

We'll need to watch the weather as well. If it's soupy mud out there, count me out.

This. And would anybody be interested in exercising their 2nd amendment rights? It's been too long since I have.

No problems here! I need to shoot my 10mm to make sure it's ready for my hunting trip in a couple of weeks. We've already been doing some scouting and there are quite a few bears where we plan to go out... Shocked

I have a few pistols chambered in .40SW and then I may bring a 12 gauge and some rifles just for kicks and giggles. :joker:

I can bring a few firearms as well. Isn't shooting frowned upon out at 5 mile?

The 5MP recreation area itself is a no shooting zone. You only have to go a few miles to find a safe place to shoot though.

Once you get out if the recreation area it's pretty much fair game. So we'll just have to drive a few more miles West and be good to do whatever.
