She was pretty banged up, but I think she'll be ok. Luckily there was nobody in her passenger seat. I think I'm ok, I'm sore though. They had to tow the truck, so now I wait to see what her insurance company has to say. I'm a little rattled, and wondering how well I'll sleep tonight. Shocked

Damn... I hope you're feeling alright. Did she blatantly run the light? Looks like it. Hope there's not too much damage to your truck, but her car is toast. Sorry man.

Yeah, she ran the red. The adjuster is supposed to give me a call in the morning - I'm hoping they decide it's worth more than my loan so I can pay it off. Worst case scenario, they shaft me on the value and don't let me buy it back, which would suck a bunch.

Unless the frame was bent, I'm not sure they'll total it. But, I could be completely wrong.

I'm afraid they're going to value it at about $5000, and there's a crease in the hood that you can't see in the pic that makes me think the core support might have buckled. If it did, repairing that with new parts will go over the truck's value and they'll total it.

So, not a total loss. No free winch bumper either though... because America First is a lienholder, they won't just cut me a check for the repair until the repairs are done and America First signs off on it. So off to the collision repair center it goes, and since it'll come back better looking than when it went in, and since I'm not taking one in the shorts, I'm going to call this a win for the home team.

But still. Don't let anybody you care about drive a Chevy Aveo.
