Skyline and parts south.
Met up with Jesse and his family to drive the southern section of Skyline. Most of the trip was the anticipated graded gravel and we made quick time (when we weren't stopped to feed the baby and let the kids hunt crickets). The graded gravel ended at just past a section of pavement, and a sign warned "native road conditions ahead". The road got rutted (enough that it's a good thing Ty didn't bring his minivan), and then it got muddy (enough that 4wd was necessary to get through a couple sloppy spots), and then it got snowy. We turned around when we ran into a sizeable drift at an offcamber section that was greasy with snowmelt. You could tell the ATVs and UTVs were getting through, but with not enough room to clear the snow without slipping a wheel over the edge and not enough clearance in our Mom-mobiles to plow through the drift, we decided to turn it around. Now that I'm back down in the valley heat, I'm wishing we'd stayed up there longer!

Good times, Jesse. Lets take another swing at it later in the year when the snow finally clears.
