I want to upgrade my front diff from the 4cyl. w/ Lockright to a HP or v6 diff with a selectable locker and 5.29 gears.

Anyone know of anything anywhere?

FatTony on RME (a.k.a Cody) is selling me his complete eLocked rear axle (w/ 5.29's) out of a 4Runner.  I don't need the whole axle, just the diff.  It's setup for coils and links, I'm assuming.  If someone wants it, let's talk...

Now...it's going to take some fabrication to fit that eLocker into an 85' axle...time to start researching...

That's a good deal.  I'd have jumped on that if I'd had the cash.  That's the width I want to go to.  If I can't get Ty's axle from him, I'll be happy to buy yours.  I'm in no hurry though.

The retrofit isn't a huge amount of fab, is it?  I think just a little grinding at one spot and a little welding to fill in another, right?

Looks like I have to remove some studs (maybe 3?) fill those in, notch the housing, and then drill and tap for new studs. Some have had to clearance the 3rd itself because of the unbolt right there but others have not...which means it's a really tight fit.

I'm planning on when you have cash to help me build my 44, getting it done and you taking mine!!! Too bad one of us can't afford that Detroit on RME. That would make it a ton cheaper!!
