Favorite Offroad Pics!
I am bored so rather than look up weird creepy pictures and videos, I thought I would go through my offroad pics. Then I thought we should have a thread where we can post our favorite offroad pics.
This thread is for OFFROAD PICTURES ONLY! Don't post up pictures of it sitting in your driveway or at the gas station. I want to see dirt and rocks beneath the tires.
I don't care if its your 4runner or your pick up. I just want to see some good offroad fun!!
Here are a couple of mine!!
Just to show a few!!!

Re: Favorite Offroad Pics!
I don't know any way to say this without being accusatory, so I'm just going to say it - what did you do that for? You've got a great big beautiful snow covered meadow there, and instead of shutting the truck off and enjoying it you had to go thrash it up and spew mud everywhere? Were you even on the road when you did that?
That's the kinda crap that gives fourwheelers a bad name. That's the kind of stuff that can lead to us losing vehicle access to areas like that entirely. I don't know how things play in Colorado, but there are highly active groups in Utah like SUWA and SaveOurCanyons that are eager to ban all off road vehicle use from everywhere. They have a lot of supporters and a lot of money, and stuff like what you're doing there gives them ammo to get more supporters and more money. You think it's a little harmless mudding, but nobody else wants to hike or ski or even snowmobile through that area and see the aftermath of you tearing that meadow up. It's not harmless, and it's wrong to think of it that way. The days when we had the right to take our trucks anywhere are gone, and they're gone because we abused that right.
If it seems like I'm in your face, I am, a little bit. I thought when I called you out a little bit over you and your buddy going offtrail on Forest Lake that I'd made my point, so now I'm going to make it a little stronger... you really need to shift how you think about how you wheel. You need to be aware of how your actions are affecting other users of the land you're on, and you definitely need to be aware of how you're potentially affecting the rights of other wheelers to use that same area.
Sorry to call you out in public, but this is the kind of thing that needs to happen if we're going to stop the flood of trail closures and restrictions. It'd be great to have you on our side, is there anything I can do to help? If I work with TreadLightly to set up a training class up in your area, would you and your friends come?

I agree and appreciate you calling me out, it has definitely got me thinking. I try not to go off trail, though I admit I'm usually far more lenient when I'm with a group. I will stop being such a bitch and start calling them out if they are going to go off trail, and will talk to the group about it. I'm sorry for fucking up and promise it won't happen again.Kevin wrote:I don't know any way to say this without being accusatory, so I'm just going to say it - what did you do that for? Dude, you rock. It's hard to get called out in public and take it gracefully, and it's hard to call out your wheeling buddies and get them back on the trail. I've got so much respect for you right now, you're awesome.snivilous wrote:I agree and appreciate you calling me out, it has definitely got me thinking. Let me know if I can help, I mean that - I've got a couple contacts with TreadLightly trainers down here, and they're very cool, very persuasive guys. They can help bring The Gospel to your buddies. Say the word and I'll put some feelers out.

Well it's all words until I act. What would be involved if they came up here?Kevin wrote:Dude, you rock.
