insurance

Post by Monsteryota on Thu Nov 14, 2013 9:45 am

Well its been over 3 weeks since anything has been done about my truck. I got a voicemail from them stating they are taking responsibility for it and going to pay me for my truck and compensate for all I've lost. I should hear from an adjuster in 1-2 business days. That was last Thursday !!!!!!!!! I've left messages after messages trying to get clearer detailes but can't get anyone to return my calls! What is ya'lls thoughts? I'm glad I had it towed to my house and its not at a wrecking company.

I absolutely LOATHE insurance companies. What they're doing is trying to figure out how to screw you as badly as they can. IMHO car insurance is the biggest Ponzi scheme out there. Evil or Very Mad

Preach it, brother.  Insurance is a scam, by definition, or they wouldn't make any money at it.

This is your problem.  You're not the other insurance carrier's customer.  They have no incentive to give you good customer service or do right by you, their only goal right now is to rail you in the ass as hard as they can.  I said before, you should be talking to your own insurance company and have your insurance company fight it out with the other guys.

If you didn't have the coverage for your own insurance to get involved, then you oughta be talking to a lawyer.  You haven't signed any agreements or actually accepted a settlement offer, have you?

Talk to him, for hecks sake.  He'll give you a consult and let you know what's fair, as opposed to what they're offering.  He'll probably send them a letter, too, and a piece of mail on a lawyers letterhead may be all it takes to light a fire under them.

But I wouldn't talk to those leaches again until you've at least asked your cousin for advice.
