I hate cliffs too. What ruined me was wheeling up at 10k feet in Idaho on a normal dirt road with a steep drop off to my right. We hit a snow drift and I tried to plow through it. With the lightness of my reg. cab Toyota and lots of wheel-spin, the dual lockers started pushing me sideways towards the cliff. Luckily, I was able to somehow stop about a foot from going over the edge. It was just my wife and I at the time (newly married, still in college) but the tumble down the hill would have killed us both. Now, every time I feel a tip of any sort towards that way, I freak.

You guys! That's just your survival mode kickin in! It's not being a puss - unless it stops you dead in your tracks.
I'm not keen on cliffs either.. My dad ran a paper route using the sub on sundays to handle a load of 600 newspapers (the suspension was SHOT I tell ya!) and I'd help roll and bag the papers in back. He never bought tires for the truck (never took it out of town), and there were a LOT of times we slid into trees during the winter, parked cars and ohh man! this cliff into a steep arroyo - slid right to the edge on ice, with no seat belts and newspapers everywhere it woulda been fun.
As soon as I saved enough I bought retreads for the thing, sorry lol I been missing that truck lately. But not the way it smelled.

Horrible, horrible, horrible news. Just found out Talan has a hip hop recital on April 26th at 10:00 am. I am hoping that I can get Thursday off so I can come down Wednesday night and go home Friday night but I don't know yet. I'm so super frustrated.

Brake plate needed to go on first. Now I have to smash the new bearings off to get the backing plate on right.

This is not looking good guys. As of right now I have meetings that Thursday morning. I am going to see if I can get out of them, but they are with the VP and it could hurt my rep and chance to move up if I miss it. I will keep you updated as I find out more.

Oh no! The guy who hates cliffs as much as I do may not make it?! Well you know, family and work come first.. still a bummer though :/
My sliders from 4xInnovations should be arriving next week, front bumper still hasn't arrived (but that's ok, gotta finish up some engine work first before putting it on anyway) and last but not least rear brake shoes. I'm not even attempting mounting the winch. Will do that later this year.
Oh, and I got a turtle yesterday! My huge red eared sliders escaped their pond and went missing last year. RIP.

Tyson makes me sad. I vote Tyson plans ALL our trips from now on, so that he can't flake.
Re: Classics go to Moab III
I updated my rank just for you Kevin.
You know how bad I want to go. I just know how PISSED Talan would be if I left him and if I missed his recital.

I think Ian will be the only kid there, now, he'll be upset too.
You're horrible, Tyson. You're going to make my boy cry. I would never make your boy cry.

If Ian is for sure going, then I'll bring Kallin.

I gotta think about it. He was going to come down Thursday with Tyson so he'd only miss one day of school. If he comes down with me, he'll miss three days. Momma may not sign off on that.

Your kids would happily stay in a slow moving vehicle for hours at a time?? That's awesome. my 5 yr old gets bored and wants to hike after like 20 minutes.. hence why I'm leaving her with the grandparents.

Nope, not "happily" at all!
It's a lot easier for them if they have others to "play" with, though.

This. Ian doesn't cause a ruckus if he has to sit in back, but he does get bored. He's way happier if there's kids his age to
Nicole is good with me taking him out of school - it's late in the year when they're just marking time anyway, so he won't miss much. And I'd really like to bring him. Andrew, I'll bring mine if you bring yours. We can switch-hit.
Re: Classics go to Moab III
LoL
*pokes*
Do I need to bring a lot of tools or will you guys have 'em? I only ask because my bf and I are going to sleep in the truck, and there's not a lot of space with the spare and all.

I wouldn't feel comfortable driving as far as you are without a bag of tools in the truck, but that's your call. Do you have a rear receiver? Is a hitch carrier an option?

I'll double check with my wife, but he should be good to go. They'll enjoy switching between the rigs.

Re: Classics go to Moab III
I'm not opposed to bringing tools I was just askin lol, okie dokie will be bringing my mechanic set.
I'm buying the 33" spare next week, been running around without one for months now.. yes bad I know..
I have a scary old hi lift jack that I'm putting in the truck, too.Lubed it up and works like a charm. Planning to rachet strap everything to the rollbars.
I'm rapidly running out of funds so I'd like to not buy any more stuff LoL
But yes I do have a receiver
