Snakes 10-12

Post by offroad_medic on Wed Oct 09, 2013 10:13 am

So instead if jacking the BC wrench thread I figured we could hash out details here. So for everyone who doesn't know we're getting a group together for Rattlesnake this Saturday. What time do you guys want to meet? Ben and I talked about 10:30-11 at the gas station but I know Brady has certain time constraints.... Input?

ArkWheeler is going to want to come, but he works at 1400, so the earlier the better for him.

I'm 100% flexible, myself.

My constraints are based on whether my wife wants to come and if I'll have my daughter with me. I believe my wife works a 17:00. I'll put my vote in for an earlier run, maybe 09:00 at the Chevron? Leave for the trail parking lot at 09:15.

I'm completely flexible so it doesn't matter to me when we meet

If that's what works for everybody else, that works for me.

There's a couple fellows I'd like to invite, are we keeping this tight or are you guys ok with a bigger group?

I'm okay with anybody coming. If you are gonna invite people I have a few buddies who may be interested.

I'm down for an early run as well. I'll meet you guys at the Snakes parking lot a little after 9:30. Don't mind the traffic jam I'll create with 45mph max speed on the way out there...I'm sure you'll catch up to me...Mad

Unfortunately I work saturday at 2 :/ I'm seriously considering quitting my job soon though. I'm tired of retail and i'll probably get a real job soon. Which hopefully means i'll have weekends available. Have fun though Smile

FuckifIknow who you've met, I can't even remember what I had for breakfast.  AJ with the big green 4Runner, Casey with the little red truck, his buddy with the FJ?

They're all cool dudes.

Good deal.  The wife and I are in.  We'll have to be heading back up north between 13:30 and 14:00 (at the latest) so she can make it to work on time.  Hopefully that'll give us enough time to get through Rattlesnake and Constrictor.

I might be up for going if I can get over this nasty head/chest cold I've got. Hopefully my leaking clutch master cylinder will hold up too.

I've got the same cold.  I though I was over it and I got busy in the driveway today, and now my throat hurts again.  I don't care though, I'll hack up a lung while I wheel.  I might not camp if I'm still wheezy though.

Start pounding Mucinex if you haven't already, drink tons of fluids, and either do a nasal rinse or breath in good amounts of steam. IE lean over a boiling pot of water with a towel over your head or take a hot shower. Also cough syrup with dextromethorphan in it will help the nasty hacking hopefully.

Hell yes it does.

Kevin's Patented Make-Your-Butt-Feel-Better Tea:

Brew a mix of Bigelow Orange Spice and Lemon Zinger herbal teas.  Brew it strong.  To one mug, add the juice of half an orange, a generous dollop of honey, and two shots of crappy whiskey or rum.  Stir.  Pour down gullet.

He's saying that as long as we don't spend the entire time taking pictures of each other, we should make it up and down in a reasonable amount of time.
