HREW or DOM sliders?
So i'm ordering my savage rock sliders w/ kickout but I'm not sure which I want. HREW or DOM. Opinion? Diffferences?

Re: HREW or DOM sliders?
DOM is stronger, and costs more. HREW will probably hold up to light/moderate abuse, if that's what you're asking.
Re: HREW or DOM sliders?
IIRC, I've got HREW sliders and they've taken a bit of a beating. I've got 1 or 2 good dents in them, but that's what they are there for.

Re: HREW or DOM sliders?
HREW will dent and DOM will bend with a hard enough hit. Both will stand up to plenty of abuse on trails around here. I run DOM just because I scored a really nice deal on them. Ben runs HREW so that they will dent instead of bending and hitting his rockers. Is DOM stronger than HREW? Yes. Is it. Is DOM going to be necessary to save your rocker panels? No. just ask Ben. haha

Hot Rolled Extruded somethingorother and Drawn Over Mandrel. The difference is, the HREW has a seam. DOM is drawn like wire, and is a solid tube.

You can also get a cold rolled (CREW) material, though it's less common.
