Rattlecan paint jobs Empty Rattlecan paint jobs

I'm going to swap out the drivers side door one of these days, and I can handle a mismatched door or a mismatched fender but not both. A professional job is a long way down the road, so rattlecans it is. Who's done one? How much did you sand before, what paint did you use, how were the results?

I rattle-canned my bumpers and sliders. As soon as I can get it washed I need to touch up the rear bumper. I didn't sand a whole lot, but maybe I should have more. I used a self-etching primer and then a flat black paint. Krylon brand I think, but not 100% sure. I've been happy so far with how things have turned out and being able to touch up whenever I want is nice.

Sorry Kevin, I'm no help here. My experience with spray paint started and ended with my model building up in architecture school. I am sure spray painting models is night and day compared to painting your rig. If you need help with the actual painting let me know.
